Protecting Minors
Who is allowed to play at Prince George Casino?
19 or older, adults only. No exceptions, ever.
Our games, promotions and Prince George Rewards program are adults-only. Anyone under 19 is barred from signing up, depositing, playing or claiming an offer. Faking your age breaks our Terms of Use and is never worth the risk. We operate only where local law permits and follow Canadian requirements on age checks, identity checks and anti-money laundering. Keeping minors away from gambling is part of that promise, a line we never cross.
Our marketing follows the same rule. We do not design promotions to appeal to young people, we do not use imagery aimed at children, and we do not knowingly direct advertising to anyone under 19.
How do we confirm a player's age?
We check before the first deposit, not after the first win.
Each new player enters a birth date at sign-up. Electronic data checks confirm identity and age before any deposit is accepted. If those checks come up short, we request valid government-issued photo ID and match it to the account. Geolocation confirms the player is inside an area we serve.
Checks keep running after sign-up. If anything later suggests a player could be under 19, such as mismatched details, a tip from a relative or signs in account activity, we reopen verification and pause the account until it's resolved.
Account Run by a Minor? Here's What Happens
The account closes, the play is voided and the money is dealt with fairly.
When we confirm that an account holder is under 19, or catch a minor playing on an adult's account, we move immediately:
- The account is suspended immediately, so no more play can take place.
- All bets and game results are voided, including any winnings.
- Where possible, deposits are refunded to the payment method used.
- The account is closed, and further sign-ups linked to the same details are blocked.
Any adult letting a minor use their account is responsible, and we can close the adult's account too. Personal data gathered from a minor is handled under Your Privacy.
How do I keep kids away from casino games on a shared device?
Lock it down, log it out, keep it private.
Phones, tablets and laptops often get passed around at home. A few simple habits make a big difference:
- Always log out of your casino account when you finish playing.
- Switch off saved passwords and login auto-fill in your browser.
- Protect each device with a PIN, password, fingerprint or face unlock.
- Give every child their own user profile, so each one gets a private space on the device.
- Keep cards, banking apps and digital wallets locked away from young users.
- Do not leave a game session open when you step away, even for a minute.
Our Cookie Notice explains how cookies keep your session signed in, and how to clear them from a shared device.
What parental controls and filters are available to me?
The tools already built into your devices are a strong first defence.
Parental controls are built into nearly all phones, tablets, computers and gaming consoles. With them, you can block gambling sites, restrict app downloads, make purchases need your approval and cap screen time. Many internet providers and home routers also offer content filtering that covers everyone in the household. Specialized filtering software adds a further safeguard by blocking gambling content in every browser on a device.
Controls work best alongside open conversation. Talk with children and teenagers about how gambling works, why the odds favour the house and why it is meant for adults. Young people who understand the risks are far less likely to go looking for it.
If gambling is already affecting someone in your family, the free services listed on our Player Protection page, including Gamblers Anonymous, GameSense, ConnexOntario and Gambling Therapy, can offer confidential guidance.
